P28 Foods

If you follow fitness accounts on Instagram than I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of P28 Foods at least once. High protein bagels, wraps and bread along with some delicious nut butters. I swear some of the posts I see on Instagram make me drool. So I was pretty excited when this showed up at my door.

Bagels, bread, flats, regular peanut butter and their white chocolate peanut butter. Of course I couldn’t wait to try the peanut butters because I love my nut butters! I stuck a spoon right into those beautiful little jars of happiness and wasn’t disappointed.

The texture of the peanut butters aren’t exactly the same as regular peanut butter. Of course not, it has twice the amount of protein. The texture reminded me of almond butter, which I LOVE, except this is still pretty creamy and much easier to spread. I prefer the texture and taste of both flavors I received, compared to regular peanut butter. Plus twice the protein?! Who could say no to that??

Who doesn’t love peanut butter and jelly… for breakfast?? Pb&j is good all the time. Just put some p28 peanut butter and some smashed berries with a little agave on a p28 bagel or bread. Easy and delicious with 34g of protein.

I love that the breads are 100% natural. Made with whole wheat, whey protein isolate, oats, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds and millet. With 28g of protein per wrap, bagel, or per 2 slices of bread. Just 1 slice of bread with 1tbs of their nut butter has 28g of protein, which makes a great pre workout snack! Plus they’re cholesterol free and have a decent amount of fiber.

For those of you that don’t know, I’m a vegetarian. On top of lifting weights and running, I also breastfeed. Recommended amount of protein is about 1g per 1lb of body weight. I try to get closer to 1.5g per 1lb of body weight. Some days it’s definitely a struggle. While breast feeding, veggies do not fill me up! The P28 products are definitely a help! Twice the amount of protein is crazy! No complaining here. Eat all the protein!

I’ve been eating this BBQ “chicken” pizza everyday for lunch. Of course you could use store bought BBQ sauce but I made my own.
Ingredients
•3tbs ketchup
•1 1/2tbs rice vinegar
•1tbs agave (any sweetener will work)
•1-2tsp brown sugar (any sweetener will work)
•1/2tsp Worcestershire
•1/4 – 1/2tsp onion powder
•1/4 – 1/2tsp seasoning salt
•2 shakes of garlic powder
•1 shake of chili powder
•1 shake of pepper
It really depends! I try it and add what I think it needs. It tastes a lot better once it’s cooked
Directions
•I cut the flat bread in half, so it makes 2 servings!
•Preheat the oven to 350
•Mix all the BBQ sauce ingredients well and evenly spread it on the two wraps
•Top with cooked chicken (Gardein chick’n strips) and a little cheese
•Bake 10-15 minutes and enjoy!

I’ve definitely enjoyed creating some meals with the bread products. There’s so many possibilities. Especially with the wraps. Using them to wrap up some veggies. Make a quesadilla. Pizza as I showed above, yum! Don’t forget dessert too though. You can heat one of these with some peanut butter, banana slices, dark chocolate chips and coconut. Holy YUM! There’s so much you can do while getting at least 28g of protein. I love it!!

I posted the recipe for these raspberry vanilla coconut French toast on my this morning. So easy and good. These products truly are delicious and I’d highly recommend giving them a try. The last creation that I’m going to share is a single serving cookie that I made. Well, I shared it with my son, so maybe not quite a single serving if you have children. I love being able to make just one cookie though. When I make a batch, I’ll be eating cookies for days. I don’t have self control, so single serving really does work best for me.

If you can’t find P28 products near you, you can order online. The nut butters can be found at Vitacost. If you use this link to sign up, you’ll save $10 off of your first purchase of $30 or more! You can purchase all of the products at online! I highly suggest giving them a try! My favorite products have to be the white chocolate peanut butter and the wraps. I’ve heard great things about their signature peanut butter, so I’m definitely going to try that one soon and I’ll let you all know what I think.
